CRC Queen

2026 MISS COLUMBIA RIVER CIRCUIT
Hayven Chase
Hayven Chase is the 21-year-old daughter of Reed and Roxanne Chase of Athol, Idaho. Born on a military base, to two air force veterans, Hayven spent her formative years living the unique and often challenging life of a military brat. This experience has given her a deep and heartfelt respect for the service and sacrifice of our brave men and women in uniform and the families who support them.
At 5 years old, Hayven’s family returned to her mother’s native home of North Idaho. Shortly after, Hayven’s passion for horses took off when she became a member of Mica Creek Horse Club. With club held weekly on her great aunt and uncle’s hay and cattle ranch, she learned the basics of horse riding, horse husbandry, and began developing an interest in agriculture. At the age of 7, Hayven and fellow club members attended her first Rodeo. Mesmerized by the event, Hayven began to learn all she could about the greatest sport on dirt, rodeo!
With a future dream of one day becoming a rodeo queen, 11-year-old Hayven began learning the ropes of representing an equine sport by earning four consecutive Omoksee royalty titles. In 2019, Hayven won her first Professional Cowboy Rodeo Association ambassador title of Bonner County Rodeo Queen. In 2023, Hayven was crowned queen of the rodeo where her love for the sport began, the Gem State Stampede.
Hayven’s passion for rodeo and agriculture isn’t limited to just rodeo queening. Hayven enjoys barrel racing, learning to rope, Omoksee racing, and breeding and training her own horses. Hayven’s current equine partner, Classy Kahluas Legacy, AKA Lego, a 2017 black and white tobiano, American Paint Horse, is the first foal she’s had the incredible experience of taking all the way from embryo to rodeo.
Throughout her high school career, Hayven enjoyed being very active in Future Farmers of America. Winning Gold at state in 2021, and bronze and silver at nationals for small animal production and care proficiency. Hayven also attained the FFA State and American Degree and served as both chapter secretary and president. Additionally, since 2021 she has actively volunteered to help with the production of her hometown rodeo as a Gem State Stampede Wrangler. Hayven is currently in her senior year at the University of Idaho, where she is an active member of the polo team and serving as polo horse manager. She is pursuing a degree in Animal and Veterinary Science/ Business with an interest in a career in equine genetics and reproduction.
Hayven is so honored and excited to represent the Columbia River Circuit. She’s looking forward to educating rodeo fans, and potential rodeo fans, about the sport of rodeo, the welfare and care of our equine partners and rodeo livestock, agriculture, and the western way of life. She’s also not afraid to get her hands dirty. From the steer stripping chute, to chute lining, to manning a gate, to running scores, to moving livestock, to any other need, she’s happy to help make sure every rodeo she attends throughout her travels runs smoothly.
As a person experiencing life with the challenges of type one diabetes and other complex hidden disabilities, Hayven is also hoping to spend her year spreading hope and encouragement by simply showing people they too can attain their dreams, despite the many challenges life throws their way.
